The members of the Arizona Burger Tour are professional burger-eaters, burger connoisseurs and are fully qualified to give their opinions on their journey to find the best burgers in Arizona. They are an all volunteer force and they take their job very seriously. Check out the bios below to get to know them better.

Jonathan

aka "Red", #77

 

Bio: This desk jockey is an eight-to-fiver in an uptown Phoenix office building. He is the husband of a beautiful Italian girl and the owner of a very spoiled canine. A native of the Pacific Northwest, he also enjoys music, web design, all things tech and electronic and food. Quite the burger aficionado, he has sampled burgers all over the USA as well as in two other countries.

 

Burger Perfection: “A thick, juicy patty cooked well done, crowned with sharp cheddar cheese on a buttered and grilled bun, complimented by ketchup, mustard and dill pickles.”

 

 

Mario

aka "The Lomanater", #13


Bio: This self-described "handsome stud-muffin" from southern Cali traveled across the state line to find the perfect woman (and a new place to live). Occupationally, his specialty is custom glass works; recreationally, it is a burger with cheese topped with the works. So when it comes to burgers, he's the "go-to guy." Mario also loves adventure, exploring, site seeing and more.

 

Burger Perfection: “A nice and juicy patty, grilled to perfection, well done, with top and bottom buns smothered in mayo, layered with American and Swiss and topped with ketchup, mustard and fresh romaine lettuce.”

 

 

Ricky

aka "Cocoa", #11

 

Bio: A Valley of the Sun lifer, married to perfection and parenting three imperfections (2 cats, 1 Chiquis). This self proclaimed “Big Deal” is a CAD nerd by day and a regular nerd by night. Any spare time is spent with his new family. Being married to a culinary genius has trained his taste buds to accept only gastronomic greatness. Fear not my friends… your buns are in good hands! (Hamburger buns, that is.)

 

Burger Perfection: “Grill the beef, but leave some pink. Grill the buns, but not too tough. Grill the onions, but not the tomato. Sauce it up with mayo and extra mustard. Lots of lettuce, but don’t make it a salad. Cheese is a must, but pickles are a no-no.”

 

 

 

Korey

aka "Mr. Money", #27

 

Bio: Mr. Money is another Arizona transplant whose place of nativity is "The Fun Center of Ohio", also known as Mansfield. This tall country boy, who has made himself at home in the big city, loves motorcycles, the Good Lord, and of course, his pick-up truck. He and his wife share their home with two very energetic dogs. He is man of few words with a healthy appetite and he won’t shy away from any decent burger that comes his way.

 

Burger Perfection: “A great flavorful patty cooked well done combined with a soft, fresh bun and self-applied condiments (so I can truly ‘have it my way’) constitutes the perfect burger for me.”

 

 

Jordan

aka "Pounder", #45

 

Bio: A young, married man who recently made the trek from his home state of California to the very warm, sunny climes of Phoenix, Arizona. He is a former construction worker who is currently heading back to the classroom in pursuit of a career change; a degree in burger-eating…wait, that’s not a real degree…oh well. Jordan loves the outdoors, hanging out with friends and family and, of course, a good burger.

 

Burger Perfection: "There's nothing better than a big ol' juicy burger! I usually like my meat well done, but I have been known to eat it very rare also. I like all the fixin's; lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, mayo and any special sauce you can throw on there to blend into one big, tasty flavor. Now that's a good burger!"
